The address validation Location for SAP® applications, specially developed for customer and business partner data in SAP, combines postal validation and geocoordinates into a holistic product to check address types such as street or PO box addresses for postal correctness, completeness and up-to-dateness.
The address validation process starts when the business partner data is entered. First, the entered data is checked, normalized and an address correction is suggested directly if it is unique. In the case of ambiguous addresses, the user receives a selection list. Validated addresses can then be overwritten and updated directly in the system.
Various address types are supported, such as P.O. box addresses. The exact location, including geoinformation, is displayed on an intuitive map. The geo-coordinates for a business partner address are saved in the SAP GEOLOC table. They can be used for other tasks such as route planning.
The field-by-field evaluation explanation of the input arguments is combined with the visual representation of the address information. This allows business partner data to be processed quickly and efficiently with transparent and comprehensible results at all times.
